The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office needed their Jail Log Book application rewritten in a more efficient and current technology. The Jail Log Book is required by law to record all activities that take place in a jail. All reports that are produced from the application are legal reports that are presented upon request as official Sheriff’s Office documents. The new application created by Antares is a web-based application that is accessible from the Sheriff’s internal network. The application includes user security levels, easy data entry screens and specific reporting functionality. Antares developed and implemented the complete application as well as provided training to designated staff at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The new version provided usability enhancements that were well received by the users in the field. Additionally, moving to a web-based application allowed the IT department to provide better services to its users and upgrade the old equipment in the field.
