Ralph Melian, Antares’ president and CEO, recently graduated from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, an entrepreneurship training program held in New Orleans at Delgado Community College. The focus of the 11-week program helps small business owners create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital, and business support services. “Participating in the program was an incredible experience,” said Melian. “At Antares we’re always looking at ways we can apply technology to our clients’ business growth needs. The Goldman Sachs program is something I’m applying to our growth plan and sharing that insight with our clients.”
Designed by Babson College, the nation’s top-ranked entrepreneurship school, the curriculum focuses on practical skills that participants can immediately put into action within their company. The program currently operates in 15 markets in the U.S. through a network of more than 90 academic and community partners. Over 5,800 small business owners have participated, and the program continues to expand on a city-by-city basis. Locally over 450 business owners in the Gulf South region have participated.
